This perpetual calendar tells you quickly of the week any date falls between 1753 and 2000. Notice the January and February occur twice in the headings once in Roman type, once in italic. Use the roman headings for all months, including January and February, when looking for a date in non-leap years. Use the italic headings for a January or a February date in leap years, which appear in bold. STEP 1 Read down from the month, and across for the date you are working with. You will note a letter (from a to g) at the point of intersection. Remember this letter. STEP 2 Look in the year columns for the year, you are seeking. Go up the same column under you will find the letter you obtained in STEP 1. Then read to the right end of the horizontal line to find the day your date falls on. EXAMPLE: What day of the week was November 11, 1917? STEP 1 Read down from November and across from 11. At the intersection, you will find the letter b. STEP 2 Find the year 1917 (first column). Read directly above that column of years until you find the letter b. By reading horizontally to your right you will find that November 11, 1917 fell on a Sunday.
