Organizing my craft area (as if I have one...its just inside my bedroom) has always been a challenge. Crafters often find it hard to organize things.
Tools, glues, ribbons, papers are all over the place. Multipurpose shelves, drawers and bins are God's gift to us. Browsing over the net on craft room organization, I've always been amazed on how their ribbons are kept. I do keep rolls of ribbons in a shoe box but most often than not, I tend to forget what colors do I still have or don't have. Sometimes, I end up buying another roll only to find out later I still have lots of it. I don't want the ribbons exposed from dust so I want it transparent. In early Filipino custom, the groom-to-be threw his spear at the front steps of his intended's home, a sign that she has been spoken for. These days, a ring suffices as the symbol of engagement.
Today, the Filipino wedding is a Roman Catholic wedding enriched by additional customs derived from Spanish culture. I made this card 12 years ago. Wow...that long!
Last January 2005, our neighbor requested me to make the Sweet 16 Birthday Invitation for her niece. She brought with her a sample. Looking at the sample, I already knew it would be difficult and tedious. Ironically, its one of my favorite designs but I already swore that I won't do that kind of card again. Well, maybe if the price is right. The card comes in a set which consists of 3 parts:
