I started making wedding invitations in year 2000. My long time friend, Julie who was then working in Taiwan was about to get married.
I didn't think twice when she asked me to do their wedding invitation. At that time, I don't have any experience on doing wedding invitations but the thought excited me. Julie and I only talked to through the Yahoo Messenger for the details. I actually don't know what she likes me to do with the design. The only magic word she told me is "bahala na ka Rhods, salig ko nimo" (its up to you Rhods, I trust you).

Card making has become a passion. When I was young, I used to draw cards for my parents on their birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, Valentines, Mother's Day and Father's Day.
Through the years, the cards I made have evolved. From a mere piece of drawing colored with crayons, colored pens and pencils to cray pas, to mix media with strings, cords, laces, rosettes, beads and ribbons, to the now advanced technology of die cutting, stamping and embossing, homemade card making has become part of me. |
