I have been part of 2 mangrove planting activities before. First in Olanggo and the other is in Aloguinsan. Both gave me unforgettable embarrassing moments. 1st: half of my body was submerged. Even my bag got wet. 2nd: Because it was very muddy in the planting site, the sole of my rubber shoes was torn off. Thank God I bought slippers or else, I would be going home barefoot. Lesson#1: Don't compare yourself with other people. "Ang taga tuhod sa uban taga hawak nimo." Lesson#2: Go with the food committee. They don't get themselves dirty or wet. *ctto on the picture Note: This article was originally published on my "work Facebook account" on August 28, 2020.
